NaruHina (RTN) - A daring me by Annyaonweb NaruHina (RTN) - A daring me by Annyaonweb
Drawn for *Lawman09

I love NH so i kinda went reaaally overboard with details.. i loved, loved, loved this request so i'm happy, happy, happy~

This is Hinata from Road To Ninja, the upcoming Naruto Shippuuden movie. She's totally awesome, always, daring or not. I couldn't love Hinata more~

I'd be super happy if ya'll could click Download to check out that little heart wearing a Naruto haircut drawn on the bracelet, haha :D

Done at 6000px but saved for dA at 4000px to load faster. It's still super huge so all details can be easily seen~

Time: about one week, between 6 and 10 hours a day, not sure

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

:star: I really want to say thank you so much for all your comments, helping me see my mistakes and where i did good! All this feedback helps me so much!!

well first of all i mean just look at this piece it is absolutly amazing....reminds me of a comic i saw ages ago.....and it has the same dreamy glow to it and realism. i can definatly see that you spent a long time on this since every detail has been meticulously handled even to the most minute details. the shadowing is perfect not to dark and no to light.the only thing that seems odd to me is naruto's expression sort of but dont take that into account it looks great......you also did very well on the shaping of everything while you are at it......all in all whatever program you used to make this....it has used properly to make an amazing naruto fan art

The rendering throughout is beautiful except the grass really distracts from the rest of the piece. It looks like it was just thrown in there and doesn't match the detail of the rest of the piece at all. Also I would reference some tree bark because your tree on the left is looking a little more like hair or something. It's cute and romantic though!

thank you very much for the critique. i suck at backgrounds, i'm terrible with them, especially with trees ^^; i will have to practice them a lot. i'm more comfortable with interior designs rather than outdoor backgrounds but i will do my best to practice them to get them right as well :) right now, just focusing on studying human anatomy and then animals and backgrounds ^^ i'm looking forward to improving in those areas as well, especially the backgrounds part~!

honest critiques are welcome so thank you again for your opinion!

No problem! You do have some very nice soft lighting going on in the skin tones which I like a lot. I wouldn't say you suck at backgrounds, the water looks very nice! You also got some nice dimension in their hair which looks very cool. Human anatomy is tough, but it's good that you are studying it. I do life drawing once a week at school which has improved my anatomy a lot. If you can get involved in a life drawing class somewhere in your area I would really recommend it, you would be amazed at the difference it makes!

Yup, I would really like to sign up for art university or some classes like you suggested, while finishing my other university's masters if i can in the autumn since my school has both art and psychology which i'm currently studying.

For a few months i've been following a video course that teaches you how to draw from your mind without looking at a model by use of formulas and then freehand sketching. I was amazed at how much a course can help one improve and change the way one thinks, how you see the human figure and how your mind can reproduce what you imagine. it's not easy though, haha

In Romania there aren't many drawing classes from what i know, i hope i'm wrong but i think you can only go to the art school or just learn it yourself. If i'd ever find a good class, i'd immediately sign up. Right now, just keeping with my study and hoping i can sign up for art in autumn while starting my psychology masters. I do kinda hope i can learn it myself but i don't want to be smug in my capabilities, i think the university could teach me a lot about colors, painting and who knows how much more, just like this course has helped me learn. I just finished the skeleton studies, face muscles, neck muscles and now studying back muscles.

Is your school focused on art a lot?

My school is fantastic. It focuses on art and art only. No math or science, just art classes. We take anatomy, design, digital painting, traditional painting, business of art, narrative storytelling. It's the best school for me. Before the school I taught myself anatomy from tutorials and practice but having a real live model in front of you once a week really made a world of difference.

Wahh, that's really great. I'm happy for you ^__^ You didn't let it go to waste either, your character posing and anatomy are great. I've met some who had done art uni and still couldn't draw a basic character so.. you did more than awesome. I hope i will improve so much as well, will practice as much as possible. It must be awesome to use a live model though. How much time do you have per session with life drawing? Do you make the sketch there and finish it after or do you have enough time to almost or completely finish it?

Oh man, i talk too much. Sorry about that xD

haha no problem! The class lasts for about 2 1/2 hours and we start with a lecture from the teacher for about 30 - 45 mins, then we do quick gesture drawings of the model (about 60 second gestures) to warm up and then get into longer poses. Those could be anywhere from 5 mins to 30 mins depending on what we are using to draw/paint with.
